Self walk

I found this walk rather challenging. I feel i did ok with it and im starting to get the hang of the walk cycle, but i think i need to work on the bob as the character gets higher and lower as we walks and the arm movement.

The character looks like he's got more of a limp then wot i intended to do. I feel the leg movement moves to suddenly up to the highest pose and i could of added an extra frame into it. I think i could of exaggerated the arm movement alot more an make the character seem alot more cheerful.

Kathys life drawring lessons has helped in the way the body moves as it walks along, and im starting to have a better understanding.

Sketch book work

This is some of my sketch book work i have done for my life drawring class's. I think i need to try draw a bit more in there, so far i have drawn myself riding a horse which still needs work and i need to finish, a shetland pony from the farm i work at as well. I added colour to this, i think i need to work of my colouring and shading teqnics.
I have also attempted at drawring myself and my sister, i have not yet drawn any facial features and i find i really struggle at this. I feel i need alot more practice in this area and im going to work on facial features, hands and feet during the christmas holidays.

I have also drawn the muscle groups which was a task set by kathy. I think i could of worked on this alot more, i could of done better.

Maya work

I am throughly enjoying the work with maya and playing around with the andy rig. Its really interesting and you can go back through it and build up the layers as you go along.

Its still rather difficult to get the walk just right and to remember to animate the smallest part of the body e.g the hands and to make the arms look more natural and less robotic.

I learn something new with each lesson and every task is a new challenge to over come and to help my understanding of maya.

2d depressed walk

Here i have attempted at creating a 2D walk cycle using a emotion. Here i have looked at a depressed walk. I think this is slightly better then my last walk, The arms and legs work alot better an there's more of a slight bob.

I think i need to work on the bob at he gets higher an then lower, i think the head bounces a bit to much as well. He also looks like hes got a slight limp.
